Australian actor and film-maker Damon Gameau presents his documentary ‘That Sugar Film‘ about sugar and its impact on our bodies.
In order to discover the effects of the sweet substance Damon goes on a high sugar diet for 60 days. By only eating foods that are generally considered to be healthy he exposes the truth about what these products actually contain and whether they are really good for us, as we have been led to believe. The event is free for JVS members, and £3.50 for non-members. As it’s a potluck, we are asking everyone to bring a savoury vegetarian/vegan dish (big enough for 5-6 people) along with them to share. *JVS will provide refreshments and fruit. *Please note that there is a microwave at the JHub to heat food up, but there is no oven or stove.]
