A fresh study by The Vegan Society shows that the plant-based movement is seriously growing in the UK. Around 3 percent of Brits now say they’re fully vegan or mostly plant-based, and 10 percent are actively cutting down on animal products. The main reasons include health, animal welfare and the environment. It’s not just a trend anymore, it’s becoming a lifestyle shift. Even people who aren’t vegan are rethinking their meals and swapping out meat for beans, tofu and oat milk, more often.
