Compost, Community & Calendula: Gardening, Sunday 18th May 2025

Sunday’s JVS volunteer gardening sesh was an absolute delight 💚 sunshine, soil, and community spirit. We got stuck into composting, built a mini composter/planter in the raised bed, and learned how composting helps the ecosystem flourish. We also planted calendula, runner beans, courgettes, and lots of flowers to keep the pollinators buzzing. Huge shoutout to Simone for leading the way and everyone who’s helped make the garden pop, it’s getting more lush by the day. Want to join the squad? We’d love to have you!
