Future Normal billboard unveiled in central London

by

As part of the Future Normal campaign, the Vegan Society’s first ever billboard was unveiled on Sunday 18 April on Holywell Lane in Shoreditch, London.  The huge mosaic of a dog and their carer is made up of thousands of images of formerly-farmed animals now living peacefully in sanctuaries.  Watch the billboard go up in this time-lapse video.

It is a powerful image that we hope will encourage people to reconsider what the “future normal” in a post-pandemic world looks like, especially in how we view and treat non-human animals.

It is the first billboard in the UK to use Kavalan PVC-free vinyl, a sustainable and environmentally-friendly material, which was sourced specifically for the campaign.

If you are in the area or have friends and family nearby, we would love you to visit the billboard and take some photographs, sharing them using #FutureNormal.  If you are not local, you can still follow @ourfuturenormal on social media to like or share our billboard posts, helping us to spread the message of a kinder world for all animals.
