Vegan NIBs: UK Backs £12m Hub for Cultivated Meat

by
we love the planet

The government is putting £12 million into a new research hub at the University of Bath to scale up lab-grown meat and fermentation tech. It’s called CARMA, and it’s working with vegan startups like Hoxton Farms. The idea is to make ethical, low-carbon protein more available without the downsides of factory farming. It’s early days, but this kind of funding shows the UK is taking future food seriously.
