The Devon milkmen delivering vegan milk to your front door – in an electric van

You might not know it, but there’s a milk factory in Devon doing wonderful things. There’s a bottling machine, a walk in fridge and glass milk bottles stacked in rows, but you won’t find any dairy here.

A small unit in an industrial estate in Totnes has been home to a vegan milk factory for the past two years, and things are just about to majorly kick off.

ReRooted Organic, run by former Manchester United player Richard Eckersley and business partner Dan Dawson, is revolutionising the plant milk world.

ReRooted is as eco-friendly, environmentally conscious as it can be – and their milks taste unlike any other on the shelves I’ve sampled.

Everything is done with love, and a lot of effort goes into making a sustainable, vegan and zero waste product. From their reusable glass bottles and cardboard labels to the recycled coconut which after pressing is given to a local cafe to use as flour, every last detail has been considered to make as little impact as possible.
